Windsor Fellowship
Windsor Fellowship, a charitable organisation, is at the forefront of the design and delivery of innovative educational and leadership programmes that develop the diverse young talent within UK society. Their work helps young people navigate pathways to educational and career success and become confident, active role model citizens.
Windsor Fellowship, in partnership with Communities and Local Government; Black Training and Enterprise Group (BTEG); and Directgov, were developing an inspirational website to support the REACH role model programme, which is dedicated to helping Black boys and young Black men aim higher and achieve more. eGuidance was to be one of the central themes of the site and Windsor Fellowship approached CASCAiD to help them develop this part of the site.
Windsor Fellowship felt that Kudos and Careerscape would be ideal in fulfilling the CEIAG requirements of the project and asked us to propose a solution for integrating the programs into the website as part of the site’s ‘Careers Advice Service’.
To enable the website to be launched in the shortest possible time, CASCAiD developed an interim solution that enabled users of the site to directly access Kudos and Careerscape. Further work was then undertaken to re-brand the Kudos program with the REACH style and brand. This version will go live once the website developers have completed development of a registration system for the site.
The target group (Black boys and young Black men) has direct access to careers advice and information at anytime from anywhere with Internet access. They are also able to access all the resources that they require from within a single website.
The branded version of Kudos will fit seamlessly into the REACH website, reinforcing it as a resource provided by the project.
