Introducing a new version of Kudos
CASCAiD is delighted to introduce a brand new version of Kudos.
Available exclusively online from June 2012, the new version will automatically be made available to existing Kudos customers.
With a brand new look, streamlined navigation and enhanced features, the new version of Kudos has been specifically designed to engage young people in planning their future.
Upgrade OptionsHere’s a quick guide to what’s new.
New design
We’ve updated the design of Kudos based on feedback from young people to make the program more engaging and user friendly.
New navigation
We’ve made it easy for young people to find their way around Kudos. The new ‘My Dashboard’ feature provides a central point for accessing all of the program features and gives feedback about progress.
There is also a new menu bar accessible throughout the program to allow young people to access each section of Kudos quickly and easily.
Improved guidance
To help young people get the most out of their Kudos experience, we’ve added guidance to each section. The guidance is particularly useful where young people are accessing Kudos independently, without direct adviser/teacher input.
New layout
Young people can now answer three likes and dislikes questions on each screen. However, for users who prefer to answer questions individually, selecting ‘Slide view’ allows them to do so.
Improved career suggestion list
We’ve made it easier for young people to see how well the careers in their suggestion list match their likes and dislikes.
Enhanced search and filter options
It’s now easier for young people to search and filter both their career suggestion list and their own career ideas.
Enhanced career information
We’ve added new features to the career details screens which help young people to develop their career ideas.
There’s a new Notes feature which allows young people to add their own notes to careers that they are interested in. They can also add careers to their favourites list by clicking the heart icon.
There is also new subject information within the career details of any career which requires a level 3 qualification or higher. This enables young people to see which subjects are essential and desirable for each career. They can then add subjects directly to the ‘Subjects that I am planning to study’ section of ‘My Subjects’.New ‘My Subjects’ section
My Subjects encourages young people to record subjects that they are studying, have studied and are planning to study.
They can then add subjects to their action plan and set goals to help them achieve their subject targets.
Improved Types of Work
Based on feedback from teachers and advisers, we’ve improved how Kudos matches young people to different types of work. ‘My Types of Work’ is a dedicated feature where young people can explore which types of work match their interests.
Upgraded action plan
Young people can add careers and subjects that they are interested in to My Action Plan. They can then set goals with target dates to help them achieve their aspirations.
