A brand new online resource to support the delivery of the Diploma. Within each of the Diploma lines of learning there is a requirement to investigate the world of work associated with the particular Diploma sector. A recent report, National Evaluation of Diplomas: The first year of delivery has raised some of the difficulties experienced by some institutions such as 'limited connections with employers'. Diploma Liftoff is an online tool that aims to address these issues and help with the delivery of the Diploma.
This online tool encourages students to explore and understand job roles, occupational structures and the importance of teamwork within the sector.

Developed by Loughborough University, this resource offers a range of interactive activities plus Labour Market Information (LMI) and videos, case studies and photographs of people working within the sector.For all the activities, a scheme of work is provided for the practitioner.

Get Launchpad
Launchpad is a new online program for Key Stage 3 which is designed to introduce students to their future options, including the Diploma.
Launchpad will:
- Inform students about their future options with detailed subject and careers information.
- Help to raise Diploma engagement and uptake through providing information, advice and guidance for all current Diploma lines of learning.
- Dispel the myth that Diplomas are only relevant to a small number of careers by showing progression and career opportunities from each Diploma.
- Raise achievement by showing students the subjects that match their skills and helping them to make the right choices about Key Stage 4 study.
- Give an insight into the world of work through careers data, videos and case studies.
- Raise awareness of PLTS and Functional Skills through a simple diagnostic tool and action plan which encourages students to set goals to improve their skills.
- Help to involve parents/carers in education and career planning by providing an online resource which can be accessed from home.
- Provide an ideal resource for Years 7 to 9 to deliver the CEG Framework, PSHE, Diploma IAG and subject choice guidance.
